In this lecture we will be discussing the unique challenges related to emergency readiness for children with special health care needs. Specific information about some of the more common natural disasters will be discussed. How do you stay aware of various weather events? How do you plan for a blizzard, or a tornado, or a fire or a flood? The importance of emergency home care plans will be discussed. There are a variety of sources, such as Emergency Medical Services for Children or the CDC to assist in your preparation for emergency readiness.
