Long-Term Traineeships/Fellowships
Long-term Training Opportunities
Long-term trainees complete 300+ hours of training and can earn academic credit for their traineeship. These positions typically provide a stipend and are available for graduate students in the fields of nursing, nutrition, respiratory care and social work or for professionals who hold a masters degree in one of the aforementioned fields.
The application for long-term traineeships opens March 1. Application will be accepted until April 30. Applicant(s) will be notified in mid-May of the UW PPC’s decision. Applications received after the April 30th deadline will be accepted and reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
The traineeship will start around September 1 and run for 9-12 months. (UWPPC Orientation day will take place in August.) Exact start date will be decided with your preceptor upon your acceptance into the traineeship.
Pediatric Pulmonology Medical Fellowships
Pediatric Pulmonology Fellowships are available for pediatricians and involve a comprehensive three-year training program that provides a salary and benefit package. Fellows with the UW PPC are accepted through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). Visit the Pediatric Pulmonary Fellowship Program website for more information.
